Happy Republic Day to All Indians across India and the World!
I’ve been hunting for a complete list of Dry Days in Mumbai, but invariably come up with naught. So, after much searching, I’ve decided to put up a list of my own! It’s easy enough to tie this up with the list of Public Holidays in Mumbai, as well, as almost half of the dry days are holidays!

- Independnce Day – 15-Aug
- Anant Chaturdashi – 22-Sep
- Mahatmi Gandhi Jayanthi – 2-Oct
- Prohibition Week-day 7 – 8-Oct
- Kartiki Ekadashi – 17-Nov
The 18 Public Holidays mentioned on the same site are:

- Holi (2nd Day) – 1-Mar
- Gudi Padwa – 16-Mar
- Ram Navmi – 24-Mar
- Good Friday – 2-Apr
- Dr. Ambedkar Jayanti – 14-Apr
- Maharashtra Day (May Day) – 1-May
- Buddha Pournima – 27-May
- Independnce Day – 15-Aug
- Parsi New Year – 19-Aug
- Ramazan Id – 10-Sep

- Diwali – 5-Nov
- Moharum – 17-Dec

- New Year 2011 – 1-Jan,2011
Here’s the complete list, put together (I’ve also uploaded it on Google docs, here):

Note that Election days and ballot counting days are also dry days- I haven’t mentioned any here. If anyone sees anything wrong with the lists, let me know.

GR8888888888888888, information
great, man!! far more important stuff than the reams and reams of crap ppl keep adding wherever they get a chance
how about setting up a related reminder service for your visitors to register…. that would also be therapeutic for an amnestic mind
seriously, i think a reminder service like this will be a crowd puller…. and crowds ==> ads ==> untold riches.
what is use of dry day if any body want drink any body go friend house who keep in house liqour ,

Maybe you can make a google calender / ical file for download.
Thanks, @mazher – was actually going to do that, but got caught up with a lot of other work (as you may have noticed, with my otherwise scant blog) – hopefully will, soon!
Thanks for the info dude. also try to make list of days when there will be a drunk & drive catching program .
Lol, you’re welcome; but I don’t think I’ll be making a list for that – other than being almost impossible to make, I really don’t like drunk driving – don’t drive after drinkin.. Just call party-hard or summin.. http://www.partyharddrivers.com/index.html
