My Very First Post
Hi, myself Carl.
I once told a good friend that the first post in a blog will set the trend for the blog; thus you should put great thought into it. Don’t talk too much about politics or art, sport or film, bikes or cars; don’t make it too technical but be wary of being too loose on any fact. Be careful of what you put into it because your blog – and you – will ‘ever be labelled by what you put into that very first Post.
Horsecrap.
One thing I did say (..this is the non-horsecrap part..) is that it should say something about you.
I’m indicisive, I procrastinate; I will change that.. tomorrow. I love understanding how stuff works (Yep, howstuffworks.com is one of my favourite places.. ). I’m a smart, logical person with the memory of a goldfish.
I digress. I love digression. I love the word (Doesn’t it just roll off your tongue? – It doesn’t slide off like ‘slush’ or ‘balloon’ nor does it tumble along like bananas and coconuts… ). I love tracking back 2-hour conversations to figure what possible segue just took us from ‘how many days till chrismas’ to ‘why the hell was the last best thing sliced bread?’ !
Due to my handicap (I have the memory of a goldfish..) I need to write things down : a ‘memory- hard-copy’ of sorts.
This blog is just that – The Ramblings of an Amnestic Mind.

Finally! I was getting fed up of being your memory bank & losing my own uber-cool memory — as a result of all the random & inconsequential details of your life…:P
Now you can’t get away with the goldfish excuse. I expect all dates & details of our ‘oh-so-exciting’ life together to be henceforth remembered!

by the way, did I ever tell you that goldfish do NOT, in fact, have a 3 second memory… it’s just another one of those urban myths that some dad somewhere cooked up when his 5 year old daughter was depressed that ‘jaws’ was just going round and round in her bowl..

finally…Carl goes public! and on his own, too..no help from courage givers and talk helpers
while reading…coming across your handicap (goldfish) part…it evoked an intital thought of *bulls**t*; I then thought about it..and read your goldfish theory ( as explained to Garima)..made sense; i do agree to the ‘not so good memory’ thingy…
ok..what all can i do here?
..by the way this is the first time i have written on someones blog..for reasons you will realise while reading what i have written…
